Pinterest menu

I finally got around to making a weekly menu after what I had seen on Pinterest. Though not complete, it's getting close! Just have to add a container to put recipes in!

Super easy to make and cheap too! I had all the paper supplies and got the frame at a local goodwill for $2. I debated on keeping the plastic in the frame (it wasn't glass) and decided to keep it to help protect the paper. I used my cricut to cut out the words and the month buttons for the clothes pins. I modge-podged coordinating paper to the pins, adhered the day abbreviations and used adhesive foam to stick the pins to the outside plastic. The only thing I may have changed would be to have used lighter paper so it could second as a dry-erase board... But I love it!

Molly + Justin Wedding | Paper Quilling

Well, I tried my hand at paper quilling. I enjoyed what the finished product ended up like, but that being said, this will be the first and last time I do this - I surely do not have the patience!!

My intention is to put this in an 8 x 10 shadow box frame.

Anyways, this is a present I made for Molly for her bachelorette party  :)

Table Numbers

My husband's step sister is getting married in just over a week and she asked if I could make her table numbers. I wasn't sure what to do at first when I knew her colors were navy blue and red and she had made mention of a garden theme.... Then I realized I had the perfect paper from one of my DCWV stacks. So using the Calligraphy Cartridge and MS Seasonal I was able to make a nice base with red cardstock and the blue floral paper. Knowing gold was an accent color, I popped the red numbers by offsetting them with gold.

Paintball invites

I made these invites the other day as a favor for my sister who's the MOH in her friend's wedding. These invites we're really easy to make. I used some various paper stacks for the matte/glossy black ground, the used MTC for the wording (Cooper Black font) and the paint splat. The splat was coated with glossy accents to make it appear more like paint. Details for the bachelor/bachelorette party were printed on the back

Wedding Favor Boxes

Just one last wedding related thing that i had forgotten to post. Rob and I frequently enjoy sushi and chinese cuisines, so it made sense to incorporate 'take out' boxes for our wedding favors. Well I knew that the material would not allow for stamping (slippery surface) so to keep things simple I made a simple heart monogram that we glued on to boxes. I love how they turned out.

Groomsman Gifts

Well wedding is over. So here is a little bare minimum step by step of our homemade etched beer mugs:

Basically I had wives/significant others send me photos of their police badges. From there, using photoshop, I did my best re-creation of the badge in a more simplistic version. Cut it out with MTC, applied it to the mugs and used Armour Etch to etch into it... here are the three mugs in the three phases...
Original Badge 1
Cricut vinyl rendition

Etched final version
Badge 2 Original
Cricut rendition
Final etched version
Final badge
Cricut rendition
Etched mug finalized

This project was fun, but tedious. Hoping to have reason to etch more stuff in the future!

Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made my friend the other day...

I used some brown ribbon, card stock from a DCWV stack and then used a double-use edge puncher by EK Success.

Candy Labels

I originally created these for our wedding (April 21) figuring I would find some use for them, but I am still unsure if I will use them. I used MTC to create our monogram on a rounded square card. It measures 5" W x 5.5" H. I knew that we were doing a candy bar so I added them to my printer and printed the different candy names on each of them. I am just not certain I like them.

Any input, should I keep them or pitch them... add something to them perhaps? Suggestions welcome!

Wedding Banner

Well I am trying to update this as I can... now that I am into prime-time crafting, decorating mode for the wedding. Just over 7 weeks to go! AND, I picked up my dress today! Yes!

So I used Make the Cut for this project not only because of its flexibility to cut just about everything, but I wanted to incorporate a specific font that we used on our invitations (as I have been doing for a lot of wedding crafts lately). The banner I wanted to create will be used as a decoration for our candy bar that we are having.

To start, I used a simple triangle that I manipulated to be the length and size that I wanted, and by joining 4 of them together. Below is a photo of the image:

I then used the font we used on invites: LD Soccer Mom (...I know, the names they come up with...LOL...) to spell out LOVE IS SWEET with a shadow layer. Well I haven't officially assembled all of the pieces, but rather have placed them as I want to. I am really excited and happy with the result. Here is what it will resemble when its completed. I will post photos of it in use later!

I cannot wait to use this at my wedding!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wall Decal

My mom found an idea for her laundry room. Upon showing me the photo, I instantly knew I could re-create it for her!... so with some help from cricut and make the cut... I was able to create the same thing for her!

First I set up my MTC program to look like below. It gave me an idea of how much space it would take up, because my mom doesn't have the same room.

Anyways, after determining that I wanted this as my final size (27-28" long) by ~10" tall... I rearranged all of the items on my screen so that it would fit on one 12x24" mat and then clicked "cut"

Here's the final cut project, once all the excess vinyl was removed:

Leave me some love please and thanks for popping by!

Free time?

Free time, what is that? Oh yes. My time has been consumed with lots and lots of wedding planning! just over 100 days until the big day so free time has been dedicated to wedding stuff! Sorry nothing to post. Once wedding stuff is done hopefully I will get back to this....
